What you will do:

• Lead by example through the delivery of high-quality social work practice and professional decision-making.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and practice guidance to social workers and other team members.
• Undertake complex Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory requirements and timescales.
• Manage a reduced caseload involving Child Protection, Children in Need, and pre-proceedings or legal planning cases.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and lead safeguarding interventions where required.
• Support informed decision-making on complex cases and contribute to key planning, strategy, and review meetings.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with health services, police, education providers, and other partner agencies.
• Chair professional meetings and contribute to effective multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including case audits, file reviews, and compliance monitoring.
