Up to £43,500 per year | Full Time | Permanent

Step into a leadership role where innovation, teamwork, and exceptional childcare come together.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a Good Ofsted-rated, purpose-built nursery that provides outstanding care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll help lead a passionate team while maintaining the high standards that make this nursery such a rewarding place to work.

Designed specifically for early years education, the nursery offers bright, spacious, and vibrant learning environments tailored to every stage of a child's development. Children also benefit from a range of unique facilities, including a dedicated sensory room and a Forest School area, where they are encouraged to explore and build confidence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader who enjoys supporting and developing colleagues while remaining actively involved in delivering exceptional childcare and early years education.

What We’re Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • Previous experience within a senior early years leadership role, ideally as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Assistant Nursery Manager, or experienced Third In Charge ready to progress.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A positive, proactive approach with a genuine passion for developing both children and colleagues.
  • Experience supporting an Ofsted-regulated setting would be advantageous.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary of up to £43,500 per year
  • Competitive annual leave package
  • Discounted childcare
  • Paid lunch
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Comprehensive wellbeing programme and support package
  • Benefits portal
  • Regular team events
  • Ongoing training and career development opportunities

Deputy Nursery Manager Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the nursery.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the nursery team to deliver outstanding care and education.
  • Ensure compliance with the EYFS framework, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Coach and mentor practitioners, promoting high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Support recruitment, inductions, supervisions, and staff development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
  • Monitor quality across the nursery and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
