Job Description

Nursery Manager

Up to £55,000 per year | Level 3+ | Full Time | All Year Round

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a large, well-established nursery that is committed to delivering exceptional early years education. The service is looking for a strong leader with a proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes and developing high-performing teams.

Set within a beautiful building, the nursery offers a spacious, homely environment where every room has been carefully designed to encourage children to learn and build confidence. Age-appropriate learning spaces provide opportunities for children to develop at their own pace, while the expansive outdoor garden allows them to enjoy nature, build confidence, and extend their learning beyond the classroom.

Working alongside a dedicated team of Early Years professionals, you'll lead the nursery's continued success, ensuring exceptional standards of care, education, and safeguarding while creating a positive culture where both children and staff can flourish.

What We’re Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager within a large nursery setting.
  • A proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection outcomes.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and early years legislation.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Commercial awareness alongside a commitment to delivering outstanding childcare and education.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary of up to £55,000 per year
  • Discounted childcare
  • Competitive annual leave package
  • Paid lunch
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Comprehensive wellbeing programme and support package
  • Benefits portal
  • Regular team events
  • Opportunity to lead a large, well-established nursery with excellent career development opportunities

Nursery Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
  • Inspire, develop, and support a large team of Early Years professionals.
  • Drive quality improvement and maintain compliance with the EYFS framework, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Lead the nursery through inspections, building on a strong history of Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
  • Oversee recruitment, performance management, staff development, and succession planning.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Monitor occupancy, budgets, and operational performance while maintaining exceptional service quality.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive culture where children, families, and staff feel valued and supported.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
