Private Healthcare

Be part of making lives better as a Bank Support Worker at Alexandra Gardens in Hounslow and experience what delivering great healthcare should feel like.

Use your knowledge, experience, and caring nature to make a positive difference to the lives of people with Mental Health conditions.

You’ll be looked after, with a fulfilling career where you’re valued, recognised, and supported, with colleagues there for you and a culture built on kindness and teamwork.

There’s also a range of training and development options available to help you achieve your career aspirations, allowing you to grow and succeed as a Support Worker and beyond. Over 2,000 staff had a promotion last year, that’s 25% of the workforce, so the opportunities really are there.

What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with a range of Mental Health conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

The shift pattern is 7.5 and 10 hours a day, including nights and weekends.

Where you will be working:

Location: 13 Alexandra Gardens, Hounslow, London, RW3 4HT

You will be working at 13 Alexandra Gardens, a learning disability and autism service which provides support for people who may be living with moderate learning disabilities with associated health needs, autism and behaviours.

People may come to 13 Alexandra Gardens as part of their care pathway, either moving from their community placement or the family home because they require more structured care and support. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to help deliver care to service users and supporting them to achieve personalised outcomes and develop constructive ways of communicating through new skills and behaviours.

What you will get

  • Hourly rate of £ 13.11
  • Two-week paid induction
  • Free meals and parking
  • Mandatory training to ensure you are fully able to do your job at the best of your ability.
  • Wellbeing support and activities to help you maintain a great work-life balance.
  • Pension contribution to secure your future (Optional)
