What you will do:

  • Manage a caseload of looked-after children, delivering statutory social work interventions in line with the Children Act 1989 and associated guidance.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and review Care Plans to achieve permanence and stability.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, and court proceedings, providing evidence where required.
  • Promote the welfare, health, education, and emotional well-being of children in care through direct work and planned interventions.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Social Work (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent).
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.

Registration & Compliance:

  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Children and Social Work Act 2017, and the “Working Together to Safeguard Children” guidance.
