What you will do

  • Receive, screen and assess referrals to Children's Services, determining appropriate interventions and service responses.
  • Undertake timely assessments in accordance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Provide advice, information and assistance to children, families, professionals, and partner agencies.
  • Analyse information from multiple sources to identify risk, need, and protective factors affecting children and young people.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work (BA, BSc, MA or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Successful completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Registration & Compliance

  • Registered with Social Care Wales.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
  • Sound knowledge of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, Wales Safeguarding Procedures, Children Act 1989 and 2004, Human Rights Act 1998, Equality Act 2010, and data protection legislation and confidentiality requirements.
