What you will do:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a team of social workers and personal advisors, ensuring high-quality services are delivered to children and families.
• Provide professional supervision, guidance, and performance management, supporting staff development and promoting best practice.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are effectively managed and that children's welfare remains at the centre of all decision-making.
• Support senior management by contributing to strategic planning, policy implementation, and service development.
• Monitor team performance against key performance indicators and ensure statutory responsibilities are met within required timescales.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal departments, partner agencies, and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated services.
• Oversee quality assurance activities, including auditing casework and ensuring compliance with legislation, statutory guidance, and council procedures.

Requirements:

• A recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
• Previous management or supervisory experience within a children's social work setting.
• Strong knowledge of children's legislation, safeguarding procedures, and statutory guidance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
