Care Homes

Lead care homes through change, strengthen performance and make a lasting difference where it's needed most.

Joining us means becoming part of a forward-looking care organisation with a strong, long-term commitment to the success of every home. Supported by substantial, planned investment, we provide the resources and stability needed to deliver high-quality, sustainable care while nurturing thriving communities. This is a full-time, field-based role working 40 hours per week, with regular travel across England, Scotland and Wales, supporting care homes through periods of leadership transition, service improvement and operational change.

As a Regional Support Manager, you'll provide experienced operational leadership to homes requiring additional support, helping to stabilise services, improve quality, strengthen leadership teams and deliver excellent outcomes for residents, colleagues and families. Working closely with Regional Directors, Area Directors and central support teams, you'll play a vital role in ensuring homes continue to thrive during periods of change.

About the role

This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for providing hands-on support to care homes during leadership vacancies, improvement programmes, regulatory intervention or organisational transition.

You'll assume operational accountability for allocated homes, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care while delivering measurable improvements across quality, compliance, workforce and commercial performance. You'll quickly assess operational priorities, develop structured improvement plans and work alongside leadership teams to implement sustainable solutions that leave homes stronger for the future.

Working closely with Home Managers, colleagues and wider support functions, you'll oversee regulatory compliance, safeguard resident wellbeing, support occupancy growth and ensure financial performance is carefully managed. You'll lead homes through inspections where required, respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns, and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, professionals and commissioners.

A key part of the role is developing people. You'll coach and mentor Home Managers and leadership teams, strengthen operational capability and help embed systems and processes that support long-term success. Where required, you'll also register as the Home Manager with the relevant regulator while providing substantive leadership cover.

About you

You'll be an experienced operational leader with a proven track record of successfully leading care homes through periods of change, improvement or transition.

You'll combine strong commercial awareness with an unwavering commitment to high-quality care, balancing operational performance with excellent resident outcomes. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, you'll be confident making decisions, managing complex situations and building positive relationships with colleagues, residents, families and external partners.

You'll be an inspiring leader who enjoys coaching others, developing leadership capability and helping teams achieve sustainable improvements. Organised, resilient and adaptable, you'll thrive in a varied field-based role where no two days are the same and your expertise has a direct impact on the quality of care delivered across multiple homes.

Additional information

This role requires extensive travel across England, Scotland and Wales and the flexibility to support multiple homes where needed. You may be required to register as the Home Manager with the relevant regulator during periods of substantive leadership cover and will play a key role in regional improvement projects and organisational change initiatives.

As with all colleagues, you'll be expected to comply with our policies relating to health and safety, infection prevention and control, safeguarding and all relevant regulatory requirements. From time to time, you may be asked to undertake other duties appropriate to the role, and the responsibilities outlined above may be reasonably reviewed and updated following consultation to reflect business needs.
