What you will do:

• Manage a complex caseload involving children at risk, children subject to Child Protection Plans, and Children in Need.
• Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and risk assessments in line with statutory guidance.
• Develop, implement, and review Child Protection Plans and Child in Need Plans to ensure positive outcomes for children.
• Lead and coordinate multi-agency safeguarding interventions, ensuring effective partnership working.
• Prepare comprehensive court reports, care plans, statements, and assessments to support legal proceedings.
• Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, core group meetings, strategy discussions, and court hearings.
• Provide professional guidance, support, and mentoring to junior social workers and less experienced colleagues.
• Build strong working relationships with health professionals, police, schools, housing providers, and other key partners.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case recordings and documentation.
