Job Description

Nursery Practitioner

Up to £29,300 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week

Every child deserves an environment where they can explore, grow, and develop at their own pace - and every practitioner deserves a workplace where they feel valued and supported.

Our client is looking for a passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join their welcoming nursery team. Set within a beautiful character building, the nursery offers a warm and inspiring environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Children benefit from thoughtfully designed, age-specific rooms that provide stimulating learning experiences tailored to each stage of their development. Outdoor play is a key part of the nursery's daily routine, giving children regular opportunities to explore nature, stay active, and develop essential physical and social skills through meaningful play.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach to childcare

What's On Offer

  • Discounted childcare
  • Annual leave increasing with service
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Team events and celebrations
  • Employee recognition awards
  • Pension scheme

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
  • Plan and participate in engaging activities that support children's learning and development
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress
  • Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development
  • Encourage outdoor learning and make full use of the nursery's outdoor environment
  • Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery standards at all times

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
