The salary for this permanent Supervising Social Worker job is up to £42,000 per annum. Main duties:<ul>
<li>Manage a caseload within the framework of supervision to effectively meet the needs of children and foster carers in line with national minimum standards.</li><li>To ensure that information systems and records are effectively maintained in order to provide up to date and accurate information upon which decisions can be made.</li><li>To maintain a personal awareness of legislation, agency policies and procedures, acting in line with these to ensure a high quality of service delivery.</li><li>To attend regular training and compile a portfolio to evidence CPD in line with the professional capabilities framework.</li><li>To provide the agency with high quality assessments of back up carers, long term matching and ant appropriate assessments within the role.</li><li>To visit foster carers every two – four weeks and to provide appropriate support to 12/13 families &amp; complete timely monthly reports and upload to database.</li><li>To undertake annual review meetings and complete a report for the annual review of foster carers and to present to the fostering panel.</li><li>To attend and participate in case conferences, reviews, planning meetings and any other meetings that may be required and to represent the independent fostering agency &nbsp;at such meetings.</li><li>To liaise and consult with others involved in the care of the child.</li><li>To prepare for and undertake monthly visits to foster carers and complete monthly reports and risk assessments as required by the agency, Local Authorities and the courts.</li><li>To advise children and young people of their rights and to assist them in implementing the complaints procedure as necessary.</li><li>To work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the panel, support groups and out of hours work as required.</li><li>To undertake any other duties which may be appropriate depending upon the post holder’s expertise, knowledge, experience and skills, in keeping with the level of responsibility afforded.</li></ul>
