Nursery Assistant

Nursery Assistant (Experienced) – Farnborough, GU14 6SF
20 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 11am to 3pm
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our welcoming team in Farnborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on childcare experience who is passionate about early years education and creating a nurturing environment for young children to thrive. You will also be taking on Kitchen Assistant duties in the initial interim.
While this position is open to unqualified applicants, previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting is essential, as well as experience working in a busy kitchen.
About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for every child.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the daily care and supervision of children aged 0–5
Assisting in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
Promoting children’s social, emotional and physical development
Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety
Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
Contributing to observations and learning journals where required

Job requirements
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
A genuine passion for childcare and early education
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive and positive attitude
Good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
