Job Description

Nursery Practitioner

Up to £30,000 per year | Level 2 or Level 3 | Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity for a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a brand-new nursery, offering the chance to help shape a setting built around exceptional early years education, meaningful relationships, and a genuine love of learning.

As a family-run nursery, this service has created a true home-from-home environment where children are encouraged to grow at their own pace. Inspired by Montessori principles, the nursery promotes independence, curiosity, and child-led learning, allowing every child to develop confidence.

With a strong Forest School approach, children spend time outside in all seasons, discovering nature, solving problems, taking appropriate risks, and developing resilience through real-life experiences.

Thanks to excellent adult-to-child ratios, practitioners have the time to build meaningful relationships and provide every child with the individual attention and support they deserve.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
  • An interest in Montessori and outdoor learning approaches would be advantageous.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary of up to £30,000 per year
  • On-site parking
  • Discounted childcare
  • Bonus Scheme
  • Wellbeing support and employee wellbeing programme
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Opportunity to join a brand-new nursery and help shape its future
  • Work within a family-run setting with excellent adult-to-child ratios
  • Be part of a supportive team that values creativity, outdoor learning, and high-quality childcare

Nursery Practitioner Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support children's learning through Montessori-inspired and child-led experiences.
  • Encourage outdoor learning, exploration, and Forest School activities.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Observe, assess, and support children's individual learning and development.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and the nursery's high standards at all times.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
