Nursery Practitioner
£28,000–£28,700 per year | Level 2 or Level 3 | Full Time | 40 Hours per Week
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming early years setting that combines modern facilities with a warm, family feel.
The nursery has been thoughtfully extended to provide larger, more comfortable learning spaces while retaining the homely atmosphere that helps children feel safe, secure, and confident from the moment they arrive.
Designed with children's development in mind, the nursery offers bright, well-equipped rooms alongside extensive outdoor areas for every age group. Whether children are discovering nature, developing new physical skills, or enjoying imaginative play, the outdoor environment is an important part of everyday learning, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and independence.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working within an early years setting.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
- A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development.

Nursery Practitioner Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
- Plan and provide engaging activities that support children's learning and development.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
- Encourage children's confidence, independence, and curiosity through play-based learning.
- Make the most of the nursery's indoor and outdoor learning environments.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
