Job Description

Nursery Practitioner

£14.00–£15.00 per hour | Level 3 | Part Time | 20–25 Hours per Week

Some of the most meaningful moments in early years happen in the quiet, everyday interactions - a reassuring smile, a comforting cuddle, or celebrating a child's latest achievement.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a purpose-built nursery set within peaceful surroundings, where creating secure, nurturing relationships is at the heart of everything they do. The nursery believes that children thrive when they feel safe, valued, and understood, allowing them to build confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Designed specifically for young children, the nursery provides bright, welcoming learning environments where children can explore, play, and discover at their own pace. Through consistent, responsive care, practitioners build strong bonds with each child, creating a calm and supportive atmosphere that encourages emotional wellbeing as well as learning and development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
  • A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children flourish during their earliest years.

What’s On Offer

  • £14.00–£15.00 per hour
  • Part-time contract (20–25 hours per week)
  • Day off on your birthday
  • Sick pay scheme
  • Discounted childcare
  • Healthcare and wellbeing support
  • Pension scheme
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Benefits portal
  • Work within a peaceful, purpose-built nursery where children and staff are equally valued

Nursery Practitioner Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families.
  • Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Encourage children's confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding early years education.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
