Job Description

Nursery Manager

£49,500 per year | 40 Hours per Week

Are you an experienced Nursery Manager looking to lead a thriving early years setting where children, families, and staff are at the heart of everything?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Good Ofsted-rated nursery that provides exceptional childcare and education for children from birth to five years old. The service is seeking a confident and passionate leader with previous Nursery Manager experience who can inspire a dedicated team while maintaining the high standards the nursery is known for.

Set within a spacious, modern environment, the nursery has been thoughtfully designed to support every stage of a child's development. Separate rooms for each age group provide age-appropriate learning experiences, while the large outdoor garden encourages children to explore, play, and develop their confidence in the natural environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager is essential.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Experience managing the operational and commercial aspects of a busy nursery.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional childcare and supporting children to reach their full potential.

What’s On Offer

  • £49,500 per year
  • Competitive annual leave package
  • Heavily discounted childcare
  • Day off on your birthday
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Life insurance
  • Long service awards
  • Wellbeing programme
  • Refreshments provided
  • Join a stable, supportive nursery that invests in its people and encourages professional growth

Nursery Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring exceptional standards of care and education.
  • Inspire, motivate, and develop a team of Early Years professionals to deliver outstanding practice.
  • Maintain compliance with the EYFS framework, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Create a positive, supportive culture where children, families, and staff feel valued.
  • Oversee recruitment, inductions, supervisions, and ongoing staff development.
  • Monitor occupancy, budgets, and operational performance to ensure the continued success of the nursery.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
  • Drive continuous improvement and prepare the nursery for future Ofsted inspections.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
