Deputy Nursery Manager

£38,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme | 40 Hours Per Week

This is your opportunity to help shape a brand-new nursery from the very beginning.

Our client is looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join the leadership team of an exciting new nursery opening soon. As part of an award-winning nursery group, this role offers the chance to play a key role in establishing a high-quality early years setting while benefiting from the support, resources, and reputation of a successful organisation.

Working alongside the Nursery Manager, you'll inspire, and develop a passionate team, creating a warm, engaging environment where children can thrive. From the very first day, you'll have the opportunity to influence the culture of the nursery, helping to establish outstanding practice and ensuring every child receives exceptional care and education.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role within an early years setting
  • Ideally experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience supporting and developing nursery teams
  • Passion for delivering exceptional early years education

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the nursery
  • Help establish outstanding practice within the new setting
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the nursery team
  • Support recruitment, inductions, and staff development
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance are maintained
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Promote an engaging, child-led learning environment where every child can flourish
  • Deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence
