Job Description

Nursery Practitioner

£28,300 per year | Level 3 | Full Time | 40 Hours per Week

If you're passionate about inspiring children through nature, creativity, and play, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a Good Ofsted-rated nursery that has been purpose-built to create an exceptional early years learning environment. Every area of the nursery has been carefully designed natural materials and age-appropriate resources, providing children with a welcoming space where they feel safe, confident, and inspired to learn.

Outdoor learning is at the heart of the nursery's approach. Children benefit from a wonderful woodland area and an exciting outdoor environment featuring mud kitchens, a vegetable patch, and a wide range of natural resources.

Joining a friendly and supportive team, you'll help deliver engaging learning experiences that nurture each child's curiosity while supporting their individual development through play.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
  • A genuine passion for outdoor learning and child-centred education.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable approach.

What’s On Offer

  • £28,300 per year
  • Pension scheme
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Annual leave that increases with length of service
  • Christmas closure
  • Wellbeing support and programme
  • Paid enhanced DBS check
  • Long service awards
  • Work in a purpose-built nursery with outstanding indoor and outdoor learning environments

Nursery Practitioner Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and provide engaging activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence through child-led and adult-guided play.
  • Make full use of the nursery's indoor and outdoor learning environments to enrich children's experiences.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
