What you will do:

  • Complete initial assessments to understand the needs, risks, and circumstances of children and families.
  • Manage cases requiring intervention and support through appropriate statutory processes.
  • Undertake assessments under the single assessment framework to inform decision-making.
  • Develop effective care plans and connect families with appropriate support services.
  • Carry out risk assessments to safeguard children and promote their wellbeing.
  • Prepare detailed reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings.
  • Attend and contribute to case conferences, reviews, and legal meetings.
  • Complete Section 17 reports and draft court statements when required.
  • Apply for emergency care orders where necessary to protect children.
  • Conduct home visits to monitor progress and ensure children’s safety.
  • Chair meetings to review outcomes and plan future interventions.
