What you will do:

  • Conduct Mental Health Act assessments and make informed decisions in line with statutory responsibilities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals to develop and implement appropriate care plans.
  • Provide expert advice and support to vulnerable adults, ensuring their rights, wellbeing, and safety remain central to all decision-making.
  • Liaise effectively with mental health teams, medical professionals, and partner agencies to deliver coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive case records and prepare detailed reports where required.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and reflective practice sessions to support continuous service improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
  • Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification and current approval.
  • Extensive experience working within adult mental health services and Mental Health Act legislation.
  • Strong assessment, decision-making, and risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and multidisciplinary working abilities.
