Nursery Teacher

PublishedPublished: Published 4 weeks ago
|

Are you an experienced Early Years Teacher ready to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in a warm, supportive environment? A thriving Islington primary school is seeking a dedicated Nursery Teacher to lead their Nursery class after half-term — someone passionate about early childhood development and confident in delivering outstanding provision across the EYFS.

The Role

You’ll plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning rooted in the EYFS statutory framework, with a strong emphasis on Communication & Language. Working closely with the Reception teacher and a skilled TA, you’ll ensure a seamless learning journey from Nursery to Reception. This role is perfect for an educator who values creativity, collaboration, and consistency in classroom routines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and assess learning with a focus on prime areas, especially Communication & Language.

• Share weekly planning and attend joint PPA sessions.

• Track key children and set meaningful next steps.

• Create a vibrant, language-rich classroom and outdoor environment.

• Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

• Uphold safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing across all practice.

What You’ll Gain

• A small, engaged cohort supported by an experienced TA.

• Guidance from the Assistant Head (EY/KS1) and Early Excellence specialists.

• A collaborative, nurturing ethos and approachable leadership team.

• A focus on work-life balance, shared planning, and professional growth.

If you’re an inspiring early years practitioner ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you.
