Deputy Nursery Manager

Up to £35,100 per annum | Up to 45 Hours per Week

Room-Based & Office-Based Role

This Deputy Nursery Manager role combines both room-based responsibilities and office-based duties, making it ideal for an experienced early years professional who enjoys supporting children, developing teams, and maintaining high standards across the nursery.

The nursery provides an engaging environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, exploration, and discovery. With a wide range of resources, dedicated learning spaces, and extensive outdoor facilities, children benefit from enriching experiences that support every stage of their development.

From a dedicated reading area and sensory garden to a large climbing frame and even resident animals, the setting offers endless opportunities for children to build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Who We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager essential
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
  • Experience supporting staff development and leading teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Passion for delivering outstanding childcare and early years education

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery
  • Lead and motivate staff to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and nursery policies
  • Support staff development, mentoring, and performance management
  • Maintain strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to occupancy, operational, and administrative responsibilities
  • Help create engaging learning experiences throughout the setting
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive nursery culture
