Job Opportunity - Social Worker - Bolsover North P&P Team

This is for a permanent 37 hours weekly position.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join the Bolsover North Adult Social Work Team.

We work with adults who have care and support needs (and people approaching adulthood) living in the community and in care placements to complete person-centred assessments.

An understanding of Strength Based Models of practice and Care Act 2014 principles is necessary.

The role requires attendance at appointments across the local area and participation in the team's duty rota. This includes responding to urgent referrals and, at times, visiting individuals at short notice. Therefore, applicants should live within a reasonable travelling distance of the Bolsover area and be able to respond promptly to the demands of the service.

You will also undertake Safeguarding enquiries, requiring strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.

Effective partnership working is central to the role, and you will collaborate with a range of professionals, organisations, and community partners. Team members are linked to local GP surgeries to support integrated, multi-disciplinary working.

Candidates must possess relevant post-qualifying experience in adult social work, including undertaking strengths-based assessments, identifying eligible care and support needs, and developing effective support plans in line with current legislation, policy, and best practice.

We offer a flexible approach to working, with opportunities for both home and office-based working. Staff are supported through daily Microsoft Teams catch-ups with colleagues and management, an active team chat facility, monthly one-to-one supervision, and regular team meetings. We also operate a champion role system, providing opportunities to develop specialist areas of interest, enhance professional practice, and share knowledge and expertise across the team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred social work practice.
