Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Throughcare Social Worker to join a dedicated Children's Throughcare Team in Worcestershire. This rewarding locum Social Worker opportunity offers a competitive rate of £33.30 per hour and the chance to support children in care, care leavers, and young people as they transition towards independence.
If you're a passionate Children's Social Worker with experience in Throughcare, Leaving Care, or Looked After Children (LAC) services, this role provides an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable young people while working within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children in care, care leavers, and young people preparing for independent living.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop personalised pathway plans to promote positive outcomes.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, supporting their emotional wellbeing, education, employment, training, and housing needs.
- Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential providers, education services, health professionals, housing teams, and partner agencies.
- Ensure statutory visits, reviews, and care planning responsibilities are completed in line with legislation and national guidance.
- Advocate for young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs remain at the centre of decision-making.
- Prepare high-quality reports, assessments, and court documentation where required.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and safeguarding procedures.
- Support young people to develop the life skills and resilience needed for successful independent living.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience within Children's Social Care, ideally in Throughcare, Leaving Care, Looked After Children (LAC), Children in Care, or Corporate Parenting services.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, care planning, and statutory responsibilities.

- £33.30 per hour
