Main duties:<ul>
<li>To hold a caseload of Children in Care where decisions have been made about permanence, ensuring appropriate care planning is in place and that the cases are reviewed within appropriate timescales.</li><li>To case manage a number of care requirements which will be reviewed on an annual basis by CYCT.</li><li>To undertake direct work with children and young people, including life story work.</li><li>To coordinate and facilitate regular team around the child meetings.</li><li>To maintain and support children in their placements, ensuring the child, their carers, parents and other professionals are consulted and kept informed.</li><li>To attend court and CYCT, prepare reports and to represent Children &amp; Family Community Services, both orally and in writing in an appropriate manner at all times.</li><li>To attend strategy meetings and undertake child protection investigations when these occur on active cases.</li><li>To undertake out of jurisdiction visits in the United kingdom as required.</li><li>To work in cooperation with parents, carers, colleagues and other agencies, ensuring the child is central to any process.</li><li>To ensure that the States of Guernsey policies, procedures and legislation are adhered to.</li><li>To actively participate in monthly supervision sessions with their line manager.</li><li>To participate in a duty rota to provide an emergency service out of hours and also when in the work setting.</li><li>To undertake any other duties as may be determined by the service from time to time.</li></ul>
