What you will do:
- Chair statutory reviews for children looked after in accordance with legislation and statutory timescales.
- Ensure care plans are robust, outcome-focused, and meet children's assessed needs.
- Monitor the implementation of review decisions and recommendations, ensuring top-notch standards.
- Make sure children's wishes, feelings, and views are fully represented within the review process.
- Provide independent challenge if care planning is delayed or does not meet required standards.
- Escalate concerns through dispute resolution processes when necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
- Promote permanence planning including reunification, adoption, special guardianship, or long-term fostering where appropriate.
- Build effective working relationships with multi-agency partners to enhance collaborative efforts.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records and review documentation.
- Contribute to service improvement, audits, and quality assurance activities to help elevate service standards.
- Keep up to date with legislation, safeguarding procedures, and social work best practices for optimal performance.
