Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner - Adult Safeguarding Team

Location: Guernsey, Channel Islands Salary: £60,579 - £78,085 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible Options Available)

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner to join our dedicated Adult Safeguarding Team in the picturesque setting of Guernsey, UK . Key Responsibilities

Attend and contribute to the weekly Multi-Agency Safeguarding Referral Decision Hub , undertaking Duty to Inquire visits and formal safeguarding investigations.

Provide expert advice and guidance on safeguarding concerns, policies, and procedures across internal teams and partner agencies.

Support staff through peer supervision , while delivering and facilitating safeguarding training sessions .

Conduct capacity assessments for individuals where decision-making ability is in question.

Collaborate with Children's Safeguarding teams , promoting a holistic safeguarding approach that includes 'Think Child' and 'Think Family' principles.

Provide specialist safeguarding supervision and contribute to developing safeguarding strategies and protocols.

Essential Requirements

A relevant professional qualification (e.g. Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy).

Current registration with a relevant regulatory body (e.g. Social Work England, NMC, HCPC).

Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, statutory procedures , and multi-agency working practices .

Experience in complex safeguarding investigations , supervision, and delivering training.

A proactive and collaborative approach, with a commitment to best practices in adult safeguarding.
