Job Description

Support Workers - Brand New Mental Health Transitional Service

Location: Farnborough
Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week | Permanent Roles
Hourly Rate: £13.25

We are launching an exciting new residential service in Farnborough, designed to support individuals transitioning from mental health hospitals and forensic settings into the community. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something new, meaningful, and life-changing - backed by a well-established and respected organisation.

We are now recruiting for the following roles:

  • 3 x Night Support Workers

  • 2 x Day Support Workers



Who We're Looking For:

We're seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers who are confident in working with individuals with complex needs, including:

  • Mental Health conditions

  • A history of self-harm

  • Behaviours that challenge

  • Suicide risk

As a Support Worker, your role will be to promote safety, dignity, independence, and empowerment for each individual. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing consistent, person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs

  • Supporting residents with daily routines, including personal care, medication, and activities

  • Managing and de-escalating behaviours that challenge using appropriate interventions

  • Monitoring and recording mental health needs, risks (including suicide and self-harm), and behavioural patterns

  • Promoting a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment

  • Supporting residents with social integration, life skills, and building independence

  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external professionals



Requirements:

  • Experience in mental health or forensic settings (essential)

  • Understanding of self-harm, suicide prevention, and complex behaviours

  • Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
