What You Will Do:
- Conduct key assessments, such as core, pre-birth, and risk assessments, to identify and support at-risk children.
- Perform Section 47 child protection investigations and draft statements to be used in court.
- Compile Section 7 and Section 37 reports to provide thorough and insightful documentation for court proceedings.
- Represent the authority in court, delivering evidence and advocating for the welfare of children.
- Engage in home visits to monitor and safeguard the well-being of children, keeping meticulous records of all findings.
- Organise and lead core group meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to child protection.
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies, building strong partnerships to enhance service delivery.
- Support police investigations with joint efforts, bringing cases to life-saving resolutions.
- Initiate, manage, and review care proceedings and plans, ensuring children receive the best support.
- Oversee family contact sessions, providing supervision to ensure safe and positive interactions.
- Produce detailed case conference reports and actively participate in case conferences and strategic meetings.
- Develop and implement Child in Need plans, tailored to address individual circumstances and needs.
