What you will do:

  • Support permanency tracking and coordination, ensuring comprehensive oversight of children's permanency plans across adoption, long-term fostering, special guardianship orders, reunification, and other permanency pathways.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking data, dashboards, and reports to facilitate management oversight and governance.
  • Assist in the preparation and chairing of permanency panels, adoption panels, and tracking meetings, including data collation, documentation, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with social work teams to identify drift and delay, supporting follow-up actions and escalation processes as necessary.
  • Support adoption activities, including monitoring children's journeys, placement progression, key milestones, and partnership reporting-liaising with regional adoption agencies to oversee progress.
  • Contribute to service improvement and project initiatives, including the implementation of new tools, local policies, templates, and tracking processes.
  • Liaise with internal teams such as IROs, commissioning, legal, and social care teams to ensure cohesive oversight of permanency planning.
  • Ensure data quality and alignment between practice, recording systems, and performance reports.
  • Produce clear, concise reports and briefings for managers and senior leaders.
  • Provide direct line management/supervision of the Court Progression Lead and the Advanced Practitioner for Adoption/ADM.
