What you will do
- Manage and lead a team of social workers and personal advisors, ensuring that casework is conducted in the best interest of each child.
- Oversee the distribution and prioritisation of the team's workload, utilising each member's skills and capabilities effectively.
- Conduct regular supervision and appraisal meetings to monitor performance and take necessary action to maintain high standards.
- Maintain communication within the team through regular meetings to discuss cases, review performance, and share updates on corporate directives.
- Collaborate with external agencies, representing the service in court when necessary to ensure care plans are in the child's best interest.
- Chair case meetings and reviews, ensuring they align with the safety and wellbeing of the child.
- Report regularly on management data to track service activity and quality.
