We are looking for a confident, compassionate and dedicated Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at Redmarley, a specialist residential service with nursing in Redmarley, Gloucestershire.
Due to the rural location of Redmarley, candidates must be able to drive and have access to suitable transport.
Redmarley is a specialist residential service with nursing, designed to support adults with mental health conditions and other complex needs. The nurse-led team provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic home environment where people are supported to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
The service supports people to build independence, confidence and community involvement, including developing life skills, accessing education, hobbies, therapeutic activities and local community facilities. At Redmarley, every day is focused on helping people feel safe, respected and empowered.
About the Role
You'll be working full time, 42 hours per week (days or nights), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Redmarley. As a Support Worker at Redmarley, you'll provide physical, emotional and practical support, helping individuals to feel safe, valued and empowered. You'll work as part of a skilled, supportive and nurse-led team to deliver person-centred care in a therapeutic residential setting.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Offering enhanced care using a flexible, person-centred approach
• Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
• Learning about each individual's specific needs and supporting them in the most appropriate way
• Assisting with medical and welfare needs
• Reporting on medical and welfare needs as required
• Supporting safeguarding practices and maintaining professional boundaries
• Maintaining a safe, clean and therapeutic environment for all
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive daily routines
• Supporting people to work towards personal goals and community involvement
• Working closely with colleagues, nurses and wider professionals to deliver outstanding care
