What you will do

  • Team Management: Lead the day-to-day operations of a team of social workers, ensuring effective safeguarding practice and service delivery.
  • Supervision: Provide regular supervision, support, and performance management to team members.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor care planning, case progression, and practice standards to maintain high-quality outcomes.
  • Meeting Coordination: Chair case conferences, professional meetings, and strategy discussions in line with statutory requirements.
  • Multi-Agency Partnership Working: Liaise with partner agencies and represent the service at external meetings and court proceedings where required.
  • Performance Management: Drive service performance and ensure targets and key objectives are achieved.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage team resources effectively, ensuring value for money and efficient service delivery.
  • Leadership: Promote effective communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Registration: Current Social Work England registration.
  • Management Experience

Salary range

  • £44.50 per hour
