Role Overview

Bradford Metropolitan District Council is committed to delivering high‑quality, child‑centred services. This pivotal role within the Localities and Integrated Front Door (IFD) Team is central to safeguarding decision‑making at the front door while maintaining oversight of ongoing locality cases. You will drive performance, promote best practice, and ensure compliance with safeguarding frameworks to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

What you will do

  • Leadership & Management: Provide line management, supervision, and professional support to Social Workers and Senior Practitioners, maintaining high standards and a positive team culture.
  • Safeguarding & Case Oversight: Oversee complex Child Protection, Child in Need, and court cases, making informed threshold decisions.
  • Operational Delivery: Manage the flow of referrals, ensuring assessments and interventions are timely and effective.
  • Multi‑Agency Working: Work closely with police, health, education, and partner agencies; chair strategy meetings and reviews.
  • Quality Assurance & Improvement: Carry out audits, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement activity to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
