This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker Team Manager to lead a frontline Assessment, CIN, CP, PLO, and Care Proceedings team in Wirral. You will play a critical role in safeguarding children, ensuring high‑quality practice, and driving performance across complex statutory pathways.

What you will do

• Lead and manage a frontline children’s social work team delivering Assessment, Child in Need, Child Protection, pre‑proceedings, and care proceedings work.
• Oversee and quality‑assure assessments, CIN plans, CP plans, PLO activity, and court work to ensure statutory compliance.
• Provide regular supervision, guidance, and professional challenge to social workers to support development and high standards of practice.
• Make timely and effective management decisions to manage risk and drive progress within statutory timescales.
• Monitor performance, address practice issues, and ensure clear accountability across the team.
• Maintain visibility and accessibility as a team leader, supporting safe and effective service delivery.
