What you will do
• Safeguarding Practice: Receive, screen, and assess referrals relating to children and young people, ensuring timely and appropriate safeguarding responses.
• Complex Assessments: Undertake and oversee complex assessments, determining risk levels and appropriate interventions.
• Professional Leadership: Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to social workers, newly qualified practitioners, and students.
• Case Oversight: Manage and oversee a small caseload of complex safeguarding cases requiring advanced professional judgement.
• Decision Making: Support the Team Manager with case decisions, risk analysis, and safeguarding strategies.
• Multi-Agency Working: Work closely with police, health services, education providers, and other partners to share information and coordinate interventions.
• Legal Processes: Prepare reports, statements, and documentation for court proceedings, strategy meetings, and multi-agency forums.
• Quality Assurance: Undertake audits, provide constructive feedback, and support continuous service improvement activities.
