What you will do
- Manage complex safeguarding cases involving children subject to Child Protection and Child in Need plans.
- Carry out statutory assessments, interventions, and outcome‑focused planning to reduce risk and promote wellbeing.
- Undertake direct work with children and families to address safeguarding concerns and support change.
- Prepare high‑quality reports for Child Protection Conferences, Core Groups, and court proceedings.
- Contribute to strategy meetings, protection conferences, and multi‑agency decision‑making forums.
- Lead and support pre‑proceedings and court work in line with the Public Law Outline.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records in accordance with statutory guidance.
- Participate in audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activity to uphold practice standards.
Requirements
Essential:
- Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in Children's Social Care, specifically safeguarding, child protection, and court work.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, statutory frameworks, and best practice.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads confidently in a fast‑paced environment.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a Local Authority Safeguarding Team.
- Familiarity with Liquidlogic or Mosaic case management systems.
- Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
