What you will do

  • Child Protection Investigations: Lead and undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with legislation and local procedures.
  • Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments to inform effective care planning.
  • Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review child protection and child in need plans.
  • Caseload Management: Manage a complex caseload including Child Protection, CIN, and PLO cases.
  • Court Work: Prepare detailed reports and represent cases in court, providing professional evidence.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with partners across health, education, and law enforcement.
  • Mentorship: Support and guide less experienced practitioners, promoting best practice.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with statutory requirements, policies, and professional standards.
