This is an exciting ongoing opportunity for a Locum Social Worker to join a busy and dynamic Pathways Team in Bolton, working 37 hours per week. You will deliver a vital statutory service to Looked After Children, Care Leavers, and Homeless Young People, many of whom present with complex needs. Supporting young people aged 16 up to 25, you will play a key role in helping them develop and progress along their Pathway to independence, making a meaningful and lasting impact on their lives.

What you will do:

• Provide support, guidance, and advocacy for Looked After Children, Care Leavers, and Homeless Young People

• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop tailored Pathway Plans promoting independence

• Manage and respond to complex needs, risks, and challenging behaviours

• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to address inequality and disadvantage faced by care leavers

• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with all statutory and local requirements

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant post-qualification experience

• Social Work England registration

• Strong skills in assessment, analysis, and care planning

• Experience working with care leavers, looked after children, or vulnerable young people

• Ability to engage effectively with resistant or hard-to-reach young people
