Role overview:
As a Social Worker in the Locality Team, you will work directly with children, families, or adults within a defined geographical area to deliver statutory social work services. The role focuses on assessment, care planning, direct intervention, and review, promoting safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive long-term outcomes. You will manage a diverse caseload and work closely with partner agencies to provide timely, effective, and person-centred support.
What you will do:

Undertake statutory assessments in line with relevant legislation and statutory guidance

Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care and support plans

Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely progression and review

Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action to protect children or vulnerable adults

Complete risk assessments and contribute to safeguarding plans

Participate in child protection conferences, core groups, or safeguarding adults meetings

Undertake direct work with service users and families to promote safety, stability, and wellbeing

Support individuals and families through periods of change and crisis

Work collaboratively with health, education, police, housing, and voluntary sector partners

Prepare high-quality reports and participate in court proceedings when required
