An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities Team in Walsall. This ongoing locum role offers full-time hours and a competitive hourly rate of £28.40. The position is ideal for a practitioner with at least two years' post-qualifying experience and a strong background in adult social work, particularly within learning disabilities.

What You Will Do

Undertake strengths-based assessments and care planning for adults with care and support needs and their carers, in line with the Care Act 2014 and statutory guidance.

Complete direct work to identify needs and develop tailored, outcome-focused support plans.

Carry out safeguarding duties to protect adults at risk from abuse or neglect.

Maintain high standards of professional, ethical, and accountable social work practice.

Manage a varied caseload and ensure timely, high-quality interventions.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies to deliver coordinated, holistic support.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in line with local authority and statutory requirements.
