What you will do:

Receive, screen and assess referrals relating to children and families.

Undertake initial safeguarding assessments to determine appropriate action.

Identify and analyse risk to ensure timely protective interventions.

Liaise with partner agencies including police, health, education and early help services.

Make informed decisions regarding thresholds for statutory intervention.

Person specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England.

• Enhanced DBS.

• Right to Work in the UK.

Key Skills:

• Strong safeguarding and risk assessment skills.

• Good understanding of children’s social care thresholds and referral pathways.

• Excellent analytical, communication and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced front-door environment.

• Strong organisational and case management skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.

Experience:

• Post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care.

• Experience within MASH, Integrated Front Door or Duty/Assessment teams.

• Experience managing safeguarding referrals and risk assessments.

• Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
