Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Generic Adults Team in Luton on an ongoing full-time locum basis. This rewarding role offers the chance to support adults within the community, promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes through high-quality assessment and care planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake strengths-based assessments to identify the needs of adults and develop person-centred support plans

• Promote independence and improve service users' quality of life through effective intervention and support

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate appropriate care and support services

• Provide advocacy, guidance and safeguarding support to ensure service users' voices are represented

• Carry out reviews and reassessments to ensure care packages remain appropriate and effective

• Maintain accurate, timely and compliant case records and reports in line with statutory and organisational requirements

• Apply relevant legislation including the Care Act and safeguarding procedures within daily practice

Person Specification
Essential

• Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent)

• Registration with Social Work England

• Experience working within Adult Social Care or Generic Adults services

• Strong assessment, communication and case management skills

• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams

Desirable

• Local authority experience
