What you will do:

  • Receive, screen, and assess referrals regarding children and families in line with statutory guidance and local protocols.

  • Conduct timely safeguarding assessments to identify needs, risks, strengths, and appropriate interventions.

  • Apply threshold guidance to determine whether cases require Early Help, Child in Need, Child Protection, or statutory social work involvement.

  • Gather, evaluate, and analyse information from multiple sources to support evidence-based decision-making.

  • Undertake Section 17 Child in Need and Section 47 Child Protection enquiries where required.

  • Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns, implementing protective measures where children may be at risk of harm.

  • Work closely with police, health services, education providers, Early Help services, and other partner agencies to
