What you will do

• Undertake fostering assessments, including Form F assessments, fostering reviews, and viability assessments in line with statutory guidance and fostering regulations.
• Provide ongoing supervision, support, and challenge to approved foster carers to ensure the highest standards of safe and effective care arrangements.
• Assess the needs of children in foster care and contribute to the development, implementation, and review of comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records, assessments, and reports, ensuring they meet council policies, statutory requirements, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work such as BA Social Work, DipSW, or CQSW.
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is essential.

Registration and Compliance

• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE) is required.

Experience

• Experience working within Children’s Social Care, preferably in fostering, looked after children, or safeguarding services.
• Experience with complex assessments and managing statutory casework is highly desirable.
