What you will do
- Foster Carer Assessments: Assess prospective foster carers to ensure safe and suitable placements for children.
- Carer Support: Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers, promoting best practice.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children placed in foster care through effective monitoring and intervention.
- Case Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with fostering regulations and policies.
- Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with colleagues, professionals, and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
- Advocacy: Engage directly with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Team Participation: Contribute to team meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Registration: Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience: Previous experience within fostering, children's social work, or related statutory services.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of child protection
