What you will do

  • Foster Carer Assessments: Assess prospective foster carers to ensure safe and suitable placements for children.
  • Carer Support: Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers, promoting best practice.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children placed in foster care through effective monitoring and intervention.
  • Case Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with fostering regulations and policies.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with colleagues, professionals, and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Advocacy: Engage directly with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
  • Team Participation: Contribute to team meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Registration: Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience: Previous experience within fostering, children's social work, or related statutory services.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of child protection
