Role Responsibilities

• Provide support, supervision and guidance to kinship foster carers.

• Work collaboratively with service staff and social work teams to provide consistent support to foster families.

• Identify and assess training needs for carers, helping strengthen their skills.

• Prepare high-quality reports for panels, planning meetings and legal processes.

• Conduct annual reviews of foster families to ensure service quality and compliance.

• Contribute to service development and innovation across the fostering team.

• Participate in duty rota responsibilities and SGO support as required.

• Demonstrate flexibility, including occasional evening work to meet service needs.

• Assess resource requirements, identify risks and determine suitable interventions under Team Manager guidance.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
