About the Role:
You will join a well-structured and organised team of around 30 individuals. The role offers flexible working hours, a supportive culture, and regular supervision on cases. This is a fast-paced, engaging opportunity within Dorset Council.
Main tasks include mainstream assessment and post-approval support, kinship assessments (including Reg 24 Fostering Special Guardianship), and supported lodgings assessment and support. You will also engage with the innovative Mockingbird model and participate in the team duty rota.
What you will do:

Conduct comprehensive foster care and kinship assessments.

Provide consistent post-approval support to caregivers.

Undertake supported lodgings assessments and provide ongoing support.

Collaborate effectively with team members to foster a cooperative spirit.

Participate in the innovative implementation of the Mockingbird model.

Engage in the team duty rota and contribute to improving team processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Enhanced DBS for Children and Adults (can be obtained if needed).

Eligibility to work in the UK.

SWE (formerly HCPC) registration.

Degree in Social Work (or equivalent).

Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience within an English Local Authority.

Access to a car and willingness to travel.
