What you will do:
- Effectively communicate and engage with children, young people, and their families, focusing on building supportive and lasting relationships.
- Utilise Merton’s Relationship-based Practice model alongside various Signs of Safety and systemic social work tools to work directly with families.
- Manage a complex caseload involving children in need, those requiring protection, and foster carers.
- Act as a Lead Professional and liaise with family and professional networks to ensure cohesive service delivery.
- Mentor and support less experienced colleagues, supervise social work students, and lead complex interventions with families.
- Provide specialist advice and consultancy to contribute to the strategic aims of the wider Council and local partnerships.
- Prepare detailed reports and plans for diverse settings including court hearings and multi-agency meetings.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in frontline social services within the UK.
