What you will do:
- Provide a high-quality social work service within a framework of relevant legislation and procedures, supporting children, young people, families, and groups within the community.
- Take responsibility for a caseload, forming and maintaining relationships with children and their families to meet their needs effectively.
- Identify and assess risks of abuse, failure to protect, or harm to children, advising senior managers accordingly.
- Participate in case management tasks related to child protection work and court proceedings.
- Identify, contribute to, and suggest ideas for good practice and develop them, leading special areas of responsibility.
- Advocate for the rights of service users, ensuring their voices are heard and respected, and challenging discriminatory practices.
- Communicate effectively during case conferences, planning meetings, and while liaising with multi-agency teams.
- Represent the team in various meetings and conferences, defending the interests of service users when necessary.
Requirements:
- Registration with Social Work England
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Relevant UK experience working as a Social Worker
